U4gm Aion 2 How to Spot Escape Bait and Hold Gap Closers

Aion 2 class guide: don't rush after an early escape; keep melee pressure steady, make space at range, and hold your gap closer if the chase looks risky or the retreat feels like bait.

An opponent who spends an escape skill too early gives you a chance to control the next exchange in Aion 2. Whether you are refining your combat setup or browsing Aion 2 Items, recognizing that opening matters more than reacting quickly. The goal is to make their remaining defenses uncomfortable without exhausting your own options.

Read the Landing Before Committing

Start by watching where the opponent finishes moving. An escape that leaves them exposed, separated from support, and still within your effective range creates a stronger opening than one that carries them behind cover. The movement alone tells only half the story.

A genuine retreat often continues after the initial movement: the opponent keeps creating distance or turns toward safer terrain. A bait may look different. They stop just outside your reach, face you, or wait near an ally while inviting another approach.

These are clues, not guarantees. Test the situation with ordinary movement or a modest attack when possible. If they immediately reveal another defensive response, reassess before spending the ability you would need to survive the return pressure.

Melee Pressure Works Best in Stages

For melee classes, an early enemy escape does not automatically justify using every pursuit tool. If walking forward keeps the target within reach, continue attacking and preserve your gap closer. Their wasted movement has already improved your position.

For example, when an opponent retreats a short distance across open ground, follow with basic pressure instead of immediately committing your strongest approach. Use a gap closer when the remaining distance would otherwise let them recover or reach support.

Match that decision to your actual kit. A class with one reliable approach must value it differently from a class with several movement options. If reaching the enemy would consume your only exit, shorten the pursuit and keep a route back to your team.

Make Distance a Problem for Ranged Opponents

Ranged classes can punish the same mistake by adjusting spacing. When the opponent moves away but remains targetable, advance only enough to maintain useful range. This can force them to choose between taking more pressure and spending another defensive resource.

If they move toward you after using their escape, create distance while continuing whatever attacks your kit permits. Avoid standing still simply because their first movement skill is unavailable. Their remaining tools, terrain, and nearby allies still shape the exchange.

Disengage when the pursuit leads around cover, into enemy support, or beyond your team's reach. Losing sight of the target removes much of the opening. Holding a favorable position can produce a better result than securing one extra hit.

Reward yourself for controlled decisions, not frantic pursuit. If you choose to buy cheap Aion 2 Items, keep practicing the timing and positioning that turn an early escape into sustained pressure.
