Hyderabad Airport Run 2026: Where Fitness, Community and Celebration Took Over the Runway

Hyderabad Airport Run returned for its 5th edition on January 3, 2025, blending sport, music and community at GMR Aerocity, with thousands of runners enjoying a high-energy race and celebration.

Hyderabad Airport Run returned its fifth edition with music, sport and community spirit on January 3, 2025. The event has transformed the GMR Aerocity into the most vibrant fitness arena. The event was organised by GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited and proved that it is not just a race but a shared experience that brings people together.

The Hyderabad Run has grown significantly from its first edition till now. In 2022, the event saw a comeback of 5000+ participants, symbolising the city’s evolving fitness culture. In the fifth edition, the event welcomed thousands of runners, fitness lovers and families to gather in the afternoon and experience the thrill of the race in an airport ecosystem with entertainment and celebration.

As runners gathered at 3:00 PM in the venue. The setup has reflected the events philosophy by promoting health, unity and positivity, while also aligning with the airport brand. The run categories were flagged off at different times, whereas the 10KM category started at 4:00 PM, followed by the 5KM at 4:15 PM, allowing participants to enjoy the ambience of the airport surroundings.

Cheer zones, music party, interactive spaces and entertainment set the event truly apart from other marathon events. The event had a seamless blend of athletic competition and festival energy. The event had a high-energy performance by popular music artist Nucleya, with the celebration in the finish area that took the race to the next level. The event had an impressive performance and deliveries. In the 10KM run, the general category Panchanan Bera had the first place with a finish time of 29 minutes and 6 seconds, closely followed by Navratan and Abhinandan Surtavanshi, who completed the run. In the Senior Veteran Category, Bhaskar Kamble came in first place, while Ranjit Kanbarkar and Samir Kolya followed with strong finishes. In the Veteran category, Linganna Manchikanti led the field, with Ankamma Rao Pola and Pardeep Thakur rounding out the top three.

The event's success had a strong technical background with support and strong partnerships. Timing Technologies was the official timing partner for the Event. With their advanced timing systems, they provided accurate timing to all participants. iFinish was the registration partner for the GMR Airport Run 2026. The event had a smooth registration process for all the participants and organiser dashboards, with quick results on the webpage.
